## **Full job description**
We are looking for an aspiring home stager or interior designer to undertake a variety of tasks and projects. You will start by shadowing our current designers and within weeks start receiving your own staging jobs (with assistance as needed). Previous experience in the home decorating / interior design is required. A keen design eye, spacial awareness, and an innate ability is critical to the role. Detail orientation ability to memorize instructions are also important. Role is officially part-time and on-call though many of our designers work full-time as needed and projects are assigned.
**Responsibilities**
– Create and implement a wide appealing design to increase a home’s value using available furniture and decor for both vacant and occupied homes
– With the assistance of staging crew members, move furniture and decor in and out of staging projects, hang art, and clean items if needed
– Work closely with business owner, other designers, operations staff, warehouse staff, sales, and customers to execute home staging
– Use Stageforce project and inventory management system to track furniture and decor used throughout a project
– For Interior design projects, conceive and execute designs based on customer’s needs
– Document best practices and procedure
– Other duties as assigned
– Provide assistance as needed
**Skills and Interest**
– Working experience or education in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning) preferred
– Competence in design, layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and installations.
– Proficient in computer office applications (MS Office, Google Suite, CRM)
– Have adaptive creative talent to quickly adjust designs to the unique needs of the home
– Excellent communication and customer interaction skills
– Strong attention to detail
– Ability to work quickly in a fast paced enviornment
– Project management skills
– BS degree in Interior Design or similar preferred
– Experience in Real Estate preferred
**Requirements**
– Design work history (2+ years)
– Availability to accept projects as assigned
– Commute daily to and from warehouse and project locations throughout San Diego county and surrounding areas
– Ability to lift up to 35 pounds consistently throughout staging days
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 – $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
