Staging Assistant
Decorus Home Staging is thriving and we are looking for a Staging Assistant.
This is part time or full-time flex, temporary position. We are looking for someone who is awesome and a big team player.
Sure it’s fun to look at the pretty stuff but your #1 focus is to assist our Lead Stagers. So what does this mean? You will be the go-getter, coffee maker, tote hauler, bed steamer, artwork hanger, floor sweeper, accessory packer, furniture placer, cheerleader and snickers bar provider.
Look, We are biased — but we are pretty sure we are the coolest place to work for, ever. We are BIG believers in work/life balance and while we work HARD, we make sure there is always time for you to play hard in your home time. We laugh a lot, eat plenty of treats and we always work as a team and have each other’s back. No room for bad attitudes or negativity in our operation.
Our culture….
The work is fun, fresh, dynamic, and fast passed. You will be part of our staging production crew on an as-needed basis. We need a ‘yes’ person/s that loves to help and oh, you should LOVE to be physically active.
We aren’t big on stress. So, while we will expect you to work efficiently and get things done, we focus on open communication and getting things done right the first go around.
The hours are not set however staging happens during business hours Monday to Friday. 8:00am to 4:30pm (must be willing to extend past 4:30pm if circumstance dictate a later finish time) BUT we will get you home to your life and family at a decent time.
You will experience things, do things, and part of decisions on things that no big stuffy company would ever allow you to do. We welcome vision and big ideas.
Now, let’s talk about the job requirements:
You need to be the type of person who gets joy out of getting things done. Every day, you will bang out a list of stuff. Fun stuff. Important stuff. Necessary stuff. You need to be able to follow directions while also being able to instinctively know what needs to be done next.
You will be in the warehouse or out in the field for most of your shift. So, being able to be on your feet, moving constantly, LOVE stairs and you should be able to lift at least 40lbs un assisted, oh and a TEAM PLAYER!
You need to be a person who loves to deliver remarkable experiences to other people and support your team. You know, you need to be someone who feels good by making other people feel good and doing a killer job.
You need to nail down the details. You don’t need to race through work and get things done half-assed (we figured that one out ourselves). We need you to slow things down and get them done right.
The poop will hit the fan on occasion. We need YOU to not freak out but rather don your boxing shoes and be light on your toes and go with the flow.
We want you to be meticulous in your work. If you are shy or quiet (which actually sounds perfect for us) that is totally cool, although the production team is pretty loud and wild, so either way you can fit right in. We are looking for a good, fun person, who gets stuff done. Our production team is the best in town and you need to bring it to be part of the team.
In short, your job is to help our Stagers in any way they need. And to have fun at work (who wants a job that isn’t fun?!?).
Our office is casual, but we do expect professionalism and punctuality. However, when on customers’ sites, you will be provided with Branded clothing and you are expected to show extreme professionalism when on our customers’ sites.
But what we don’t expect is perfection or existing skills for you to qualify for this job. We can teach you that.
We expect intelligence, energy, and a get-it-done attitude. When you have questions, you will find the answers with a quick yell down across the warehouse to anyone else on our team.

If this is a job that gets you so excited that you would even do it for free, we would totally accept that offer from you. But if you prefer compensation (and we totally get it…we prefer getting paid as well) this is what we offer:
This is a full-time, 3 month temporary position. The pay will range between $20 – $22 an hour, depending on experience and the hours will vary week to week. You must come into our Kirkland, WA warehouse and will be dispatch to our client’s houses from there. (sorry, but this is not a virtual job).
In addition to being a detailed person, you must follow systems and processes. In fact, just to prove that you are detailed oriented and can follow procedures when you apply for this position in the subject line of the email you must include “I have found my high energy type of peeps” in the subject line. Yep, that’s our little trick to sort out the people who blanket send their resume to anyone and everyone, from the folks (that’s you) who are truly interested in this position.
We are looking to bring our new colleague on board as soon as possible, but we will spend the necessary time to find the best fit both in abilities and culturally. One thing that will give you a BIG leg up (but is optional) is to send a quick video in along with your resume (in fact, everyone that works at Decorus made an effort to stand out from the crowd). In your video tell us why you think you’re perfect for this job and why you will rock this position. This is purely for us to get a sense of your personality. And if you decide not to send a video (that’s ok), please tell us why you chose not to send in a video.
We can’t wait to meet you!!!
