This job posting is for a competent and dependable Load Master/Mover with handyman skills to join a Staging Company. It is important that applicants have previously worked in both capacities.
The ideal candidate will have a variety of skills to manage loading and unloading a 17ft truck, assisting the Design Team in staging empty houses. Staging hours are from 9:30am to 3pm daily. The chosen candidate will be tasked with managing the maintenance of the company truck.
The second part of the role requires a handyman from 3pm until 7pm, flexible based on the company and associate’s needs. This position entails carrying out maintenance and repairs tasks effectively. The suited candidate should be a proactive individual who can work independently and is dedicated to delivering superior service.
As the handyman, the chosen candidate will be accountable for timely completion of all repairs and maintenance tasks, contributing to the functionality and aesthetics of the properties. Necessary experience includes electrical skills to remove and replace lighting fixtures and fans, basic plumbing to remove and replace toilets and components, and touch-up painting.
Furthermore, there is a huge opportunity to earn additional money as a contractor providing power washing services where the company secures the job and pays you. This could fetch an additional $10-15K a year.
Responsibilities include general maintenance and repairs on residential properties, regular inspections to identify issues, repair or replacement of damaged fixtures, fittings, and appliances, installation and maintenance of electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and effective communication with clients regarding project updates and timelines.
Skills required include proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment, strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot various issues effectively, excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members, knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems, ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively, and attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
