They are looking for a reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to support daily business activities and on-site staging/destaging projects. The role bridges working from their Fairfax warehouse and hands-on fieldwork, demanding the ability to lift and move furniture (minimum 50 lbs). The incumbent would also assist with operational tasks, provide internal support, and occasionally communicate with clients.
The Operations Assistant will aid with the setup and removal of home staging setups, load, unload, and transport furniture and décor to and from client properties. The person will also help in organizing the warehouse to ensure an accessible and well-maintained inventory.
A part of the job involves learning and applying the company’s systems, software, and processes to facilitate daily operations. Also, the Operations Assistant will partake in projects that enhance operational efficiency, serve as a contact point for team members in need of assistance, supplies, or operational support, and maintain professional communication with clients, vendors, and team members.
Requirements for the role include the physical ability to lift and move at least 50 lbs, versatility to work in different environments—client homes, warehouses, moving trucks, and the possession of strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
Responding to tight timelines professionally, basic computer skills, comfort with the company software, the ability to adhere to instructions and quickly acquire new skills, positivity, team spirit, readiness to help as required, working from the Fairfax, VA warehouse as necessary are all necessary for the role.
Offered employment depends on passing a background check. While previous experience in operations, staging, moving, or warehouse work are advantageous, they are not essential.
The payment starts at $20 per hour for a Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule, with occasional weekends as needed.
The selection would depend on successful completion of a background check and the capacity to assist in moving furniture when short-staffed.
A valid Driver’s License is mandatory, as is the ability to commute to Fairfax, VA 22031. The location of the work is in person.
