The candidate will be expected to perform various job duties efficiently. Firstly, they will be in charge of safe delivery and setup. This involves operating all types of vehicles safely, loading furniture appropriately, and ensuring timely deliveries. They’ll also need to setup furniture onsite, provide timely progress updates, and take direction from various members of the team.
For vehicle and inventory management, regular vehicle inspections are required. The driver will use a warehouse management system to track products and ensure inventory records stay accurate. They’ll assist with restocking and organizing delivery supplies under the manager’s guidance.
Quality customer service is vital for this role. The delivery driver will communicate professionally with customers, clean and prepare furniture before delivery and represent Vesta Home’s brand positively in all interactions.
Assistance in the warehouse may occasionally be required. This includes inventory management, order picking, and product stage preparation for future deliveries.
Being adaptable and flexible is a critical aspect of this role, with the successful candidate being prepared to take on additional responsibilities as required and able to adapt to changes readily.
Proficient use of the DispatchTrack platform is necessary, along with taking photos to document furniture installation quality. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and the competent use of tools such as drills, hammers, and levels are also required. A valid and clean driver’s license is a must-have, as well as a solid understanding of DOT regulations.
