Slate Staging and Design, a home staging service provider situated in Hayward, CA, is on a quest to find a dedicated and dependable person to fill the position of Mover/Driver/Warehouse Associate. The company wishes to gain someone fruitful in managing various facets of warehouse operations and aiding the moving and staging processes. They’re searching for someone who’s meticulous, physically robust, and enthusiastic to be part of their success story.

The prospective team member needs to adapt to different roles within their dynamic workdays and have an exceptional willingness to deliver beyond expectation.

Main duties of the job will include supporting the team in moving furniture and accessories to homes for staging purposes – everything from wrapping and careful packing during staging removal, subsequent transportation back to the warehouse, reorganization, and driving a 20ft box truck; a clean driving record is a prerequisite.

The individual will be charged with both the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and bathroom as well as maintaining the condition of furniture, accessories, and accompaniments upon return from project locations. This also includes running errands like taking linens for cleaning, routine repairs, or changes such as adjusting lighting or constructing shelves and pallet racks in the warehouse.

The tasks also extend to rubbish disposal, breaking down cardboard, and cooperating with the staging team in the preparation of items for projects. The individual will also need to track inventory levels, maintain records, and make improvements for warehouse efficiency.

As for qualifications, the person should’ve had previous experience in warehouse support or similar roles and a history in moving. A minimum physical ability to lift furniture and staging items weighing 80lbs is required, along with strong organizational skills, experience in handling a box truck of at least 20ft, English proficiency, and teamwork.

Having a cell phone, driver’s license, reliable vehicle, clean driving record and the ability to travel locally deemed crucial. The job necessitates lifting and moving heavy items, and comfort working in physically demanding situations.

The pay rate set is $20.00 – $25.00 per hour for this job. The shift lasts for 8 hours with workdays from Monday to Friday and weekends as needed. The working location is in-person.
