Slate Staging & Design is a comprehensive home staging and design company in the Bay Area. Primarily, they form partnerships with real estate brokers and homeowners with the aim of getting properties ready for the market. They achieve this through careful design, strategic staging, and impeccable execution. They are a team passionate about building relationships, promoting effective communication and delivering an excellent client experience.
Currently, they are in need of a competent Assistant Stager to add to their team. Even though this is a seasonal role, peaking from early Spring through Fall, the potential for it to become a full-time role with a progression path to a Lead Stager role is quite high. The ideal candidate will have some staging experience and a keen interest or passion for interior design and decorating. A key requirement for the role includes being organized, being comfortable juggling multiple tasks, and being ready to thrive in a fast-paced and varied work setting.
Job responsibilities involve tasks at the warehouse like moving, organizing and even pulling furniture, bedding, art pieces, and accessories. The Assistant Stager would also be involved in furniture selection, package coordination, and residential property installation which covers directing movers, positioning accessories, hanging artwork, among others.
Part of the job description also includes maintaining the warehouse organization regularly and updating online inventory in real time as items move in and out. They would also need to conduct site visits to take photographs, videos, and measurements for forthcoming projects. Assembling new furniture pieces is another aspect of the job, along with driving to collect furniture and accessories, traveling for about 45-90 miles around the Bay Area.
The role also covers safely packing all accessories and furniture to be taken back to the warehouse, repairs touch-ups, cleaning and reporting any damaged items. The Assistant Stager may also need to run miscellaneous errands like key pick-ups, check collection, shopping for accessories/art, and small furnishings or returning items to the warehouse/staged properties.
Part of the role is maintaining the company’s social media presence by capturing and sharing images and videos of various staging projects. A knack for crafting engaging Instagram posts and reels is advantageous. The successful applicant will also assist in managing inventory and keeping accurate records.
The candidate must be comfortable with prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a sharp eye for detail. Having a profound passion for interior spaces and staying updated on furniture and interior design trends is required. The candidate should be a team player, with a positive attitude.
Physical capability is crucial, as is the ability to comfortably lift 50 lbs minimum. Also required are the candidate’s own cell phone, driver’s license, reliable vehicle, clean driving record and willingness to travel locally. The candidate must be willing to drive 45-90 miles around the Bay Area, have flexible working hours and an understanding that the weekly schedule will not be set. Experience with social media platforms, specifically Instagram is a necessity.
Strong knowledge of inventory management is favorable. Proficiency in using Stageforce and Notion is hugely advantageous.
This position is particularly busy in the early Spring through Fall. Availability during these peak months is necessary and the candidate should be dependable and have a good attendance record.

The job is part-time and pays $23.00 per hour. The schedule includes 4-hour and 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed. All work is conducted in person.
