Furniture Affair is on the lookout for an Assistant Stager who is polished and detail-oriented. The Assistant Stager will be working with their staging team on a project basis. They ideally seek someone who has received formal design training and enjoys active, hands-on work and dynamic working conditions.
In the context of Furniture Affair, staging is an activity which is thoroughly planned out. Their objective is to convert vacant properties into desirable homes that are picture-perfect and have the potential to stand out in aggressive markets. This role will require the individual to be physically present at both their warehouse and various property locations in the Valley.
This is a physically intensive position and is based on projects.
The main duties of the Assistant Stager include aiding in the selection and alignment of furniture, artwork, and accessories for planned staging installations. This individual will also be tasked with assembling and packaging accessory bins, linens, and styling elements meticulously.
They may also be asked to assist in on-site setups which comprise of furniture arrangement, bed styling, art hanging, and detailing. Collaboration with team members and movers is essential to ensuring the furniture placement is precise and safe. Interactions with homeowners and real estate agents must be conducted professionally.
As the role progresses, the Assistant Stager can expect additional responsibilities such as leading on smaller installations and contributing to inventory management as well as warehouse merchandising. Additionally, they will have the chance to give creative input during staging prep and design planning phases.
This person should have a Professional Home Staging Certification or an Interior Design Degree. Possessing a strong aesthetic sense for scale, proportion and colour as well as the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stay on their feet for extended periods is a must. They must have their own reliable transportation and a valid driving license. They need to be dependable, punctual and able to work under real estate deadlines.
Fluency in Spanish and previous experience in staging, interior designing and visual merchandising are favourable but not mandatory.
The Assistant Stager will work as an independent contractor and will be paid per project. They can enjoy flexible scheduling in accordance to the staging calendar.
Compensation is determined to be between $25.00 – $35.00 per hour. Benefits include an employee discount and flexible work schedule.
The offer for this part-time position is contingent on a background check. The individual will need to have at least 2 years of experience in Home Staging, though it is preferred but not required. Having a Home Staging Certification or Interior Design Degree is requisite. The work will need to be performed in person.
