Slate Staging & Design is a home staging and design company based in the Bay Area. They partner with real estate agents and homeowners to make sure properties look their best before they hit the market, focusing on careful design, effective staging, and top-notch service. Clear communication, a focus on teamwork, and building strong client relationships is at the core of their operation.

They are currently looking for a Seasonal Assistant Stager to join their team during the peak season, which runs from early Spring through Fall. This role is perfect for someone with previous staging experience who has a passion for interior design and likes working in a dynamic, hands-on environment. The Assistant Stager will be responsible for supporting installations, managing warehouse operations, and dealing with the daily logistics of staging. The role also offers a potential for long-term growth and could become a full-time position.

The Assistant Stager’s tasks will include managing warehouse operations such as moving, arranging, and returning furniture and décor. The role also involves aiding with the selection and preparation of furniture and accessories for staging projects, executing residential staging installations like directing movers, placing accessories, and hanging artwork. The assistant will also help maintain warehouse organization, help keep digital inventory up-to-date, and even visit sites to collect measurements, photos, and videos. The candidate may occasionally need to assemble new furniture, drive to pick up furniture or accessories, and travel to job sites throughout the Bay Area (45–90 miles).

The assistant will also aid with staging removals like packing carefully, minorly touching up walls, and reporting damaged items. Additionally, the assistant will undertake staging-related errands such as picking up keys, shopping for accessories, or changing items. They may also need to capture photo and video content from projects for social media (experience with Instagram is a plus), and assist with tracking inventory (experience with Stageforce and Notion is beneficial).

The right candidate for this role should possess strong organizational skills and pay great attention to detail. They have to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities, and must be genuinely interested in interior design and current furniture trends. They should be a dependable and positive team player with a strong work ethic and must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, a reliable vehicle, and a personal cell phone are required. The candidate must be willing to travel throughout the Bay Area and should be flexible, with no guaranteed weekly schedule. Experience with social media is preferred, especially Instagram, and experience with inventory management is a plus.

It should be noted that this is a seasonal position, and availability is required consistently from early Spring to Fall with the potential to grow into a full-time role. Dependability and good attendance are key.
