The company is a home staging / interior design business and the warehouse is a crucial part of their operation. They are after a passionate and seasoned mover to contribute to their warehouse team.
The available role is for a dependable, seasoned driver to join their warehouse band. The candidate’s key duties will include aiding in maintaining organization in the warehouse and securely transporting furniture to and from staging locations.
The successful candidate will be expected to drive a box truck of up to 27 feet. They will further assist in loading, transporting, and unloading furniture and décor. Essential tasks include safely packing and guarding items for delivery and staging setup. They will partner with the design team to realize layouts as planned, safely drive and keep company trucks. The driver will also facilitate the setup and breakdown of staging projects, frequently under tight deadlines.
There are some prerequisite skills and qualifications for this role. The potential hire will need to have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the moving industry. A valid commercial driver’s license and a spotless driving record are necessary. Owning a personal car is compulsory. They should be capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs routinely. They will need to be highly organized and have a basic understanding of furniture handling and loading best practices. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are also crucial. The candidate should be punctual, reliable, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
While not necessary, experience in the home staging, moving, or furniture industry is preferred. The pay begins at $30 per hour and may be adjusted depending on the person’s experience. This job is available for both full-time and part-time applicants with a pay starting from $30.00 per hour. The company provides a company truck among other benefits. The work location will predominantly be on the road.
