This job is based in Issaquah, WA. It’s a full-time role in the real estate staging industry. They require someone with more than three years of experience in warehouse management.
In this role as the Warehouse & Operations Manager, you will be the backbone of the logistic process. Their design team is responsible for beautifying homes, but your responsibility is getting those interior designs from our warehouse to those properties. This role is not just about overseeing the warehouse, but also managing a high-end inventory, a fleet of vehicles and an enthusiastic team.
They seek a self-directed leader who doesn’t just solve problems but anticipates them, nipping potential issues in the bud.
As the manager, your main responsibilities will hinge around logistics & scheduling (where your Puzzle Master abilities come in handy), managing warehouse operations & standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring proper fleet management, and exhibiting on-site leadership.
You will fully own and manage the daily and weekly calendar, deciding the most efficient routes and truck assignments for all staging (setting up) and destaging (taking down) jobs. Part of your duty will also be to coordinate staffing per job, ensuring the staff is optimized, and always equipped with necessary staging packs. You’ll also be the important link between the design team and the logistics team, identifying potential problems way beforehand.
For warehouse operations, you will manage furniture inventory, documenting the SOPs for packing and loading, and ensuring trucks are properly organised.
In terms of fleet management, you’ll take responsibility for the upkeep of the trucks such as organizing regular maintenance and ensuring the fleet is kept clean and well-equipped.
Your on-site leadership will be critical during project implementations – you’ll be the first line of solution when practical problems arise and you will ensure every team member adheres to the standard of excellence expected in how they handle inventory and clients’ homes.
Success in this role will be measured by the efficiency of logistics, organised warehouse operations, the smooth running of installations and the ability to pre-emptively solve problems. They also consider a well-maintained fleet as a sign of a job well-done.
Salary is expected to be between $34.00 – $38.00 per hour, working full time for 35 – 40 hours per week. The duties of this role will be carried out in person.
