Studio M Staging, a premiere home staging company operating in the Bay Area, is currently seeking part-time movers operating as 1099 Independent Contractors. They offer creativity and professionalism to every project and serve top real estate agents across the Bay.
For this part-time opportunity, interested applicants need to understand this is a 1099 contractor position and must operate as an independent business such as a Sole Proprietor or LLC or should demonstrate an independent contractor status. The applicant is responsible for their own taxes and insurance.

The specific tasks include being a lead mover on each job. There will be no supervisor, meaning you’ll be managing the move. The job also involves loading and unloading furniture safely and with care, driving the company’s box truck to and from staging sites, wrapping, and protecting all items to prevent damage, and working proficiently following clear staging plans provided by the design team.
To be a successful candidate, the following are the requirements: a proven moving experience preferably in high-end homes or staging environments, the ability to lift 75+ lbs and move furniture safely, possessing a valid driver’s license, clear communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and most importantly, operating as an independent contractor. You might already have your own moving business or are working freelance.
The compensation is very competitive. The hourly rates are higher for experienced movers who are certified to drive and oversee jobs. Payment is made either per job or per hour, depending on the project type.
The schedule offers great flexibility, usually on weekdays.
