This team is excited to welcome a new Home Stager Assistant (Driver/Mover). The individual selected for this role will be instrumental in transforming spaces and creating spectacular home environments. This position is a combination of practical moving tasks, including loading and unloading, and driving duties. The assistant will play an integral part in delivering high-quality service, guaranteeing efficient setup and disassembly of staged homes, and delivering fantastic customer experiences. This role is ideal for someone who loves active tasks that require heavy lifting, driving, and teamwork.
The assistant’s responsibilities include safe navigation for the transportation of furniture, decorations, and staging materials, working with equipment like dollies or four-wheelers. The individual will drive commercial vehicles such as box trucks with manual transmissions to move staging materials to clients’ locations. Assisting in moving furniture and accessories into homes or staging sites is another key responsibility, ensuring the items are handled carefully to avoid damage.
The individual is also expected to efficiently load and organize materials for delivery, optimize space, and ensure safe transportation. They will support the assembly and disassembly of the staged areas by arranging furniture and decorations according to the project’s specifications. They should maintain a clean and organized workspace in company vehicles and storage areas to guarantee workplace safety. Excellent communication with clients, team members, and supervisors is also necessary to coordinate schedules and confirm delivery or pickup times.
Experience in a customer service or warehouse setting is preferred, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record is necessary. Driving experience, especially in a commercial setting, would be beneficial. The safe handling of large items or furniture is also important. The individual should be familiar with equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, but training can be provided. This role requires strong physical stamina for lifting, carrying, and moving items throughout the day. Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude are also key in delivering excellent service.
