They are ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on work, appreciates teamwork, and values careful execution of a plan. The job isn’t your typical moving job, as the person will be working in upscale homes as part of a creative staging team.
In the role of a Staging Install Mover, the person will be supporting installations and de-stages by safely moving furniture and décor, hanging artwork, and following design direction on-site. Followed by direction from the Lead Stager, the movers are expected to execute the placements attentively and carefully. Combined with the Lead Mover, they will be in charge of packing and pick-ups for all staged homes.
The person’s job would involve several tasks. Some of them would be loading, transporting, and installing furniture and decor in the homes that are being staged. They would assist with staging installs and de-stages under the guidance of the Lead Stager and Lead Mover. Artwork is to be hung accurately and securely, and they would also protect walls, floors, and furnishings during installations. Light furniture touch-ups and repairs might also be needed. The mover will maintain warehouse organization and is fully responsible for de-stages.
In terms of fleet and equipment support, the mover has to operate and ride in a rented box truck when required. The mover’s assistance will also be needed for weekly truck pick-ups and drop-offs. The time spent on these tasks is paid and is part of the mover’s scheduled work hours.
The job is contract-based, offering 10–20 hours of work per week with pay varying from $22-$28/hour, depending on the person’s experience level. The work is restricted to daytime hours on weekdays, typically from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. No work is expected during nights or weekends.
The ideal candidate for this role likely has experience in moving furniture or working on install crews and is comfortable taking direction from a Lead Stager or crew leader. They need to be physically able to handle lifting and navigating stairs and have clear and professional communication skills.
A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record are required. They should be comfortable working in client homes and be punctual and professional.
