They are a developing interior design and home staging establishment in search of a dedicated and meticulous Interior Design & Home Staging Assistant. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and largely involved in aiding installations and managing staging inventory. It is perfect for someone who adores design, enjoys physically active work, and thrives in a team setting.
The key responsibilities of the role include assisting with home staging installations and de-installations and loading, unloading, and transporting artwork, and accessories. You will also style spaces according to design plans and staging guidelines and organize, track and maintain staging inventory in the warehouse. Other duties include preparing and pulling inventory for upcoming installations, ensuring all items are handled with care and returned in good condition and helping maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and storage areas. Support designers will also need your help with on-location tasks.
For qualifications, you need a keen interest in interior design and/or home staging, the ability to lift and move bins (50+ lbs) and be on your feet for extended periods of time. You will also need to be highly organized with a strong attention to detail, have a positive attitude and a team-player mindset. A reliable means of transportation and a valid driver’s license are also required. You mustn’t mind working flexible hours based on installation schedules.
Previous experience in interior design, staging, retail merchandising, or moving/logistics would be an advantage, but is not necessary. Candidates who have an interior design degree, are familiar with furniture handling and space styling, and who have basic knowledge of design styles and trends are preferred.
