The assistant’s responsibilities will include facilitating the setup and arrangement of furniture, decor and accessories in both residential and commercial spaces to optimize visual appeal. Part of the job will be supporting the team in getting properties ready for staging, which will involve coordinating deliveries and arranging materials. The position requires the ability to effectively collaborate with peers on staging plans, furniture and decor placement, and overal aesthetic concepts. Assistance will be needed in project coordination through tracking schedules, budgets, and communications. Maintaining an inventory of staging items – furniture, artworks, and decorative accessories – will be a critical part of the job. An additional role will be supporting the team during client consultations by providing input on design ideas and progress reports.
The job calls for understanding basic home staging principles such as space planning best practices and effective furniture and decor placement. Knowledge of image editing programs like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or others for editing images and creating presentation materials will be beneficial.
