Their large warehouse, an array of different design styles and a fleet of trucks cater to high volumes of work throughout the year.

They are currently offering an entry-level position as a Design Assistant. The incumbent will be required to assist Stylists with design jobs and staging duties. Tasks include inventory management, furniture selection, assembly and quality control, and a variety of other tasks. The nature of the job is dynamic, with daily tasks varying depending on the needs of the moment.

The Design Assistant will be expected to handle challenges on staging projects and rectify stagings prior to dispatch from the warehouse. This could include tag removal, fixing damage, or even selecting a better suite of furniture. The successful candidate will train team members in picture hanging, correct furniture placement, and property cleanliness techniques.

An important part of the role involves onsite documentation for upcoming staging projects. The Design Assistant will assemble staging in the warehouse for Occupied, Partial, and Luxury projects and make necessary corrections to staging. Other tasks include organizing the warehouse, arranging items on shelves, labeling furniture for easy identification, stuffing pillow covers, packing totes with accessories, and occasional shopping for furniture and décor.

The role will also have a curation and staging analysis component. The job involves creating Home Staging Transfer plans to efficiently move furniture, printing and framing artwork for stylists, and validating the quality of job completion through photos and videos.

Lifting skills will be part of the job as the Design Assistant will be expected to pack fragile items for transport, understand the best packing methods for furniture loading, and even do some driving with the company cargo van to different locations.

A keen understanding of design and color basics is important. The pay range for this job opportunity is 18 to 22 USD per hour. The job location is 135 Roesler Road, Glen Burnie, MD.
