1st Stage is a highly recognized home staging company. Annually, they transform over 650 properties across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego with a dedicated team of over 20 Design Professionals, StagEngineers, and Management. They are actively seeking energetic individuals to become part of this dynamic team.
The role open for application is the Assistant Stager. This role involves aiding the Lead Stager in the stages of preparing, installing, and executing a successful stage.
In the preparation phase, the Assistant Stager is expected to pack all accessories from the staging shelves using materials provided. Packs are made per room and marked correctly for easy unpacking. The Assistant Stager also manages the transport of these packed items via a rolling rack to trucks for loading.
One interesting task involves packing appropriately tagged lamps in the Lead Stager’s Car ensuring to remove shades and wrap lamp bases securely before transport. The Assistant Stager is also responsible for assembling beds and maintaining the inventory of the Lead Stager’s workbag. Communication is key as the Assistant Stager keeps in touch with the Lead Stager to assist with any further tasks.
The Assistant Stager is also closely involved in the stage installation. Duties range from setting and plugging in lamps to unpacking and arranging accessories in designated locations. Detail-oriented tasks such as steam cleaning surfaces, correcting scratches on furniture, and ensuring all lights are turned off after work are also part of the role.
After staging, the Assistant Stager is tasked with returning to the warehouse for clean-up and organization ensuring to communicate with the Lead Stager.
To fit the role, the Assistant Stager must possess the ability to understand and execute instruction, take initiative, and have excellent communication skills. Other necessary skills include the ability to multitask and prioritize, excellent time management, attention to detail, and the ability to problem solve in a highly demanding environment.
The requirements for the role are a High School Diploma or equivalent along with at least 2 years of related experience. Physical requirements include possible prolonged periods of sitting/driving and being able to lift weights between 15-35 lbs. Ideally, the candidate should have at least a year’s warehouse experience, but this is optional.
This is a full-time role with a pay range of $19.00 – $26.00 per hour. The successful applicant should be able to relocate to Murrieta, CA 92562 before starting work. The work environment is solely in person.
