This role is with a home staging and interior design company, that sees their warehouse as crucial to their operation. They are looking for an experienced and driven individual to become part of the warehouse team.
The candidate will need to be a reliable and seasoned mover who will take on the responsibility of aiding in organising the warehouse and securely moving furniture to and from staging locations.
The key duties for this role will involve playing an active role in loading, transporting and unloading furniture and décor. The candidate will also need to securely pack and guard items for delivery and staging setup. The role also involves working closely with the design team to implement layouts as per their plans. The person will take on responsibility of driving and looking after company trucks, and will also assist with setting up and removing staging projects, often within strict deadlines.
The requirements for the role include having at least five years of experience in the moving industry, having a valid driver’s license along with a clean driving record, with preference given to a commercial license holder. The candidate should have their own car and should be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly. Strong organizational skills are also required, as is basic knowledge of handling and loading furniture for best results. The person should have exceptional communication and teamwork skills, and should be punctual, dependable and adaptable to changing priorities.
Prior experience working in home staging, moving or furniture industry will be preferred.
The position pays starting from $25 per hour, with the actual rate depending on the candidate’s experience. The job can be either full-time or part-time, and includes a company truck as a benefit. Please note the work location will be primarily on the road.
