They are in a growth phase and are currently seeking a Soft-Furnishing Design Assistant. They’re interested in candidates who are both skilled and innovative.
The Soft-Furnishing Design Assistant will require Mandarin language skills. The role involves remote coordination with their design team based in China to help produce and improve concept sketches, renderings, and floor-plan layouts. Sourcing furniture online, formulating color schemes, and choosing materials according to each project’s style criteria will be part of the everyday tasks.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for procuring and styling soft-furnishing elements like furniture, lighting, textiles, and accessories to ensure a pleasing aesthetic balance and design cohesion. Additional tasks contain preparing and forwarding contracts and quotations to help keep each soft-furnishing project on schedule.
They will be expected to coordinate with delivery and installation teams to supervise on-site deployment, layout and finishing details, while ensuring the project is executed on schedule and in accordance with specifications. Collaboration will also be expected with social-media advertising partners on platforms like Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book) and WeChat Official Accounts to strategize content and marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility.
The mandatory requirement is Mandarin skills. Suitable qualifications would be a Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably with a major in Interior Design, Environmental Art, Soft-Furnishing Design, or a related field. Candidates should have a strong aesthetic sense with a good understanding of color, material, and space coordination. They should also be highly responsible and possess excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once while meeting key milestones.
The role is full-time and offers an hourly rate between $20.00 and $25.00. The work schedule includes an 8-hour shift. Job experience in furniture design and project management for at least 2 years is preferred. The ability to communicate in Chinese is also preferred.
