In terms of duties, the Home Stager will liaise with clients and real estate agents to grasp staging needs and preferences. They will evaluate properties and devise staging strategies that accentuate important features and diminish any negatives. Their role also involves the careful choice and arrangement of furniture, decoration, and other accessories in such a way that boosts the home’s overall attractiveness. Understanding lighting design principles to craft welcoming atmospheres in each space is key.
In addition to the creative side of the role, they will also manage the logistics of staging. This will encompass sourcing furniture and decor as well as managing installation. They may also provide recommendations about renovations or improvements that can raise the property’s value. Furthermore, they might prepare visual presentations using design software tools like Rhinoceros 3D, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit. They will be asked to maintain a neat inventory of staging materials and furniture.
The candidate should have an understanding of design software including Adobe, CAD, Rhinoceros 3D, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit.
