House Warmers Staging and Interior Design is seeking an Assistant Stager, a creative and organized individual with a self-starter ethos. The ideal candidate is a professional team player who can quickly learn and navigate the world of interior design. With their boutique headquarters located in the South San Francisco area, most assignments will be based in the South Bay/San Jose area, though there is the possibility of tasks across the Bay.
The Assistant Stager will be responsible for attending walkthrough appointments, helping to make decisions regarding furniture placement during staging days. To help in planning, they will take photos and videos of properties to be staged – this does not need to be professional quality.
They will also consult with homeowners on what pieces to remove or keep for staging purposes. Other task includes providing support to the Lead Stager as required and carrying out occasional errands.
The potential candidate should have at least one year’s experience in a related field such as home staging or interior design. They must be well-organized and detail-oriented, with a robust ability to network and forge business connections.
Educational requirements include a high school diploma or GED and ideally a college degree, preferably in a related field. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary, and the candidate must be able to liaise professionally with both clients and vendors.
Physically, the ability to walk, stand, lift, bend, kneel, and climb a ladder is essential, and the candidate must be a licensed driver with car access and willingness to commute around the Bay area.
House Warmers is ideal for those dedicated to home staging and design, and gravitate towards a work environment that is vibrant and creative. The compensation is $20-30 per hour and the job offers part-time flexibility, anywhere between 10 to 40 hours a week, for either 4-hour or 8-hour shifts. There might also be some on-call duties.
Suitable candidates are encouraged to email applications to caitlinfowler@thehousewarmers.net, including a cover letter, resume, and three unique facts about yourself.
