One Two Six Design is in search of a creative, vibrant Staging Designer to expand their growing team. They need someone who can effectively convert empty properties into appealing homes that potential buyers are excited to occupy. This dynamic role requires a combination of interior design expertise and strategic real estate marketing. The potential candidate will be expected to travel throughout the Bay Area, with a regular 8:00 AM commencement at the main office located at 350 Laurelwood Rd, Santa Clara, CA 95054. Reliable transportation and punctuality are crucial due to the nature of the daily staging installations.
The prospective candidate will be responsible for several roles. Firstly, they must develop inclusive staging designs that can be adapted for a variety of architectural styles ranging from modern apartments to luxurious estates. Secondly, they will be tasked with the careful selection of furniture, artwork, lighting, and accessories from the company’s warehouse in order to create a unified and stylish look for each property.
Thirdly, during the installation days, the Staging Designer will take on a leadership role and supervise the placement of furniture, adding the final touches that make a space stand out. Their fourth role revolves around project management. This involves coordinating with the Warehouse Manager and Appointment Designers to ensure all items arrive punctually and in the correct location.
Lastly, they will need to keep abreast of current interior design trends and the demands of the Bay Area real estate market.
The qualifications and skills required for this position include a proven design eye with at least 2 years of experience in interior design, home staging, or visual merchandising. Candidates must also possess spatial awareness that allows them to immediately envision the optimal furniture layout for an empty room or a floor plan. This is an active role; potential employees should be comfortable with being on their feet, lifting up to 30 lbs, and moving lightweight decor and accessories throughout the day. Additionally, they should have the ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure to meet real estate deadlines, as well as strong interpersonal communication skills for collaboration with various teams and real estate agents.
