The job’s core responsibilities include curating and installing a standard “Meridith Baer” look along with one or two other design themes. Utilising existing inventory from the warehouse and ordering custom pieces as per MBH’s processes and procedures will be required. Effective communication with homeowners and brokers to ascertain the home’s needs is essential. The successful candidate will be tasked with identifying budget-appropriate furnishings and having a robust understanding of furniture production. This includes the ability to order and track custom made items.
Furthermore, they will be expected to document a Designer Debrief for each job, highlighting any issues encountered during installation or inventory needs for future projects. They will manage the FileMaker inventory system for inventory control and job price lists. The role involves promoting furniture sales from staged homes and travelling as needed.
The successful candidate will provide top-tier design appropriate for the home and the assigned budget. They must demonstrate flexibility and proficiency in various styles and aesthetics and efficiency in preparation and installation to limit crew overtime.
Educational background in interior design, preferably a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience is required. The job necessitates a minimum of three years’ experience in real estate, staging, or design. The candidate must be engaging and personable with the ability to articulate and display a positive demeanor. Alongside these skills, the candidate must have basic computer knowledge spanning Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, Google calendar and others.
This full-time role offers an annual pay of $70,500. They provide benefits such as 401(k) matching, dental, health, and vision insurance, a flexible schedule, paid time off and various others. This position is in-person, requiring the ability to work in multiple locations including the warehouse and staged homes.
