The company is offering a Home Staging Designer job on a base plus commission pay structure. This requires applicants to submit a portfolio. The person selected for this role will be in charge of directing the team’s home staging services from concept through to installation, and will be assisting with comprehensive staging design projects. They are in search of a creative problem-solver with some hands-on experience.
The successful applicant will curate and install a standard ‘Meridith Baer’ aesthetic along with one or two other design styles. This will rely on both existing warehouse inventory and custom pieces, following Meridith Baer Home processes and procedures. The successful applicant will need to have clear communications with homeowners/brokers and Meridith Baer Account Executive to understand specific customer requirements for the home. The Designer should be able to identify furnishings suitable for the home’s budget.
The applicant should have knowledge about furniture production and be able to manage and monitor custom production pieces. They are expected to submit a Designer Debrief for each job outlining issues with installation or inventory, or highlighting needs for move outs.
They should be able to maintain the FileMaker inventory system for inventory control and job price lists. Part of their role will also include facilitating sales of furniture staged in homes. Travel may be required.
The Designer should consistently deliver top-level designs matching home and budget requirements. They should be flexible and proficient in multiple design styles and aesthetics. Efficiency in preparations and installations to reduce crew overtime is expected. The Designer should listen to the homeowner/broker and deliver the requested design.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design is preferred or equivalent work experience. The applicant should have 3+ years’ experience in real estate, staging, or design. They must be personable and engaging, driven and determined, must be well-spoken and consistently positive, and able to work in various locations, including the warehouse and staged homes.
They should have basic computer skills, including familiarity with Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, and Google Calendar.
