They are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible Interior Design & Home Staging Assistant to join their growing team. The jobholder will provide creative ideas to help achieve their goals and will be expected to become adept at their daily routines and procedures. Broad experience in staging and interior design will be gained, preparing the individual for any fast-paced work environment.
The tasks for this job include assisting the staging director in property research, quickly determining the suitable style of furniture and accessories, pulling the necessary items from the warehouse, and collaborating with the experienced moving team to place items in the property.
The jobholder needs to efficiently manage the process of furnishings and equipment selection, purchasing, and installation so that staging is finished timely. They must be able to work independently and as a team, take direction and complete tasks on time and within budget.
A good eye for various designs is required and an interest or experience in interiors, art, or decorating is appreciated. They must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
Preferably, the prospective employee should have at least 1 year of related experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience. They must be bilingual in English and Chinese. It would be a plus if they had experience managing a home installation or construction crew, and experience staging homes, although it is not mandatory.
Being deadline-driven, organized, and able to prioritize tasks as needed is vital. Strong time management and problem-solving skills arealso necessary. The candidate must be willing to work in multiple environments, shifting between the warehouse in El Monte and staged homes throughout the Los Angeles Area.
They should be hard-working, flexible, and always strive to exceed expectations. A self-starter who is good at taking direction and running with it would be ideal.
The job types available are Full-time, Contract, and Internship with a payment from $18.00 per hour. Benefits include employee discount and a flexible schedule. The work is performed in person.
