The role involves communication with homeowners, brokers and the Meridith Baer Sales Associate to understand the home’s needs. The person would need to identify appropriately priced furnishings for the home.
After each job, the designer would submit a Designer Debrief. This would report on potential issues with install or inventory or record needs for move outs. It’s part of the job to maintain the FileMaker inventory system. This helps control inventory and manage job price lists. Additionally, the candidate could be given other duties as required.
A degree in Design or a related field is preferred. This job requires a sound working knowledge of design, design styles, and spatial planning. Attention to detail is crucial.
The candidate needs to be capable of meeting deadlines and working independently. They should have their own means of transportation. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, is needed.
