Aura Home, a boutique home staging company in the San Francisco Bay Area, is looking for a reliable, creative, and highly motivated individual to join their team. They specialize in creating modern, elegant, and neutral interiors that help homes sell faster.
The individual will be responsible for bringing design concepts to life and managing staging projects from the start to finish. Their duties will require them to be hands-on in selecting stylish pieces, styling homes, supporting the junior team, and handling the physical setup. Initially, the role will be part-time, however, depending on the performance and company needs, it can grow into a full-time role.
The person will lead projects and manage staging jobs from the onset to completion. This role involves creating stylish staging plans that highlight the best features of each home and are appealing to the target buyer. They’ll be required to supervise staging assistants and movers to ensure smooth and efficient execution. They’ll handle inventory by choosing and coordinating furniture, art, and decor from their stock or external sources.
The new hire is required to do quality checks, problem-solving, and managing logistics. They will handle delivery, installation, and set up for staging projects. They are required to supervise or assist in de-staging and ensure proper packing and return of items. For new projects, they will visit home sites to take pictures, measurements, and make notes.
Their continual updating of current trends and client needs will be from close working relationships with the Creative Director and the design team. As per inventory management, they’ll have to maintain the quality and organization of staging items.
The requirement is also for a junior designer to assist the lead designer in executing design plans on-site. Duties include styling furniture, packing, unpacking, organization, photographing, documenting projects for portfolio use, and transporting small decor items if needed. They also have to support inventory management at the warehouse and stay updated on design trends to contribute creative ideas when appropriate. It’s important for the junior designer to communicate clearly and work well within a team in a fast-paced environment.
The junior designer is also required to have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, a strong eye for home décor, and an ability to lift and move furniture and boxes. Key qualities include being a quick problem solver, having excellent time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure and on tight deadlines. The individual should be punctual, dependable, detail-oriented and have a flexible schedule. Added skills may include experience in home staging, interior design, or real estate, basic knowledge of tools or light furniture assembly, and social media or content creation skills.
Compensation for this hourly role will be determined based on experience and there will be opportunities for growth. The prospective employee should be able to commute to Hayward, CA 94545. The job offers a flexible schedule with eight-hour shifts with work done in person.
