Slate Staging and Design, a home staging company based in Hayward, CA, is seeking an experienced Lead Stager/Design Stylist. The successful candidate will play an integral part in transforming homes and exceeding client expectations.

Based in the Bay Area, this individual will manage the staging process for residential properties, ensuring both quality and creativity in their designs. They must possess a strong eye for design, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to guide a team effectively. Interaction with clients, the design team, and movers will be a regular part of their role as they bring each staging vision to life.

This role will include managing the staging team in projects, designing stylish, cohesive staging plans, and working closely with clients to understand their preferences. Part of the job will also involve supervising and guiding staging assistants and movers, and sourcing furniture, artwork and décor items for the designs.

The Lead Stager/Design Stylist will also be responsible for quality control, ensuring every staging project meets the company’s high standards. Solving any problems that arise during the staging process, coordinating logistics, and overseeing the de-staging process will also be part of the role. Site visits for project preparation and maintenance of staging items are included in the job tasks.

The successful candidate will also collaborate with the Creative Director and Design Team on current design trends and market demands. A minimum of two years’ experience as a Lead Designer or Lead Stager is required. A successful portfolio that showcases their work, exceptional leadership and management abilities, and strong communication skills are essential. Familiarity with the Stageforce inventory system is a significant advantage.

Applicants must also have a good eye for design aesthetics, and the physical ability to lift and move furniture, alongside a valid driver’s license for local travel. They should be ready to work in a fast-paced environment, meet project deadlines, and have excellent organizational and time-management skills.

The position is full-time, at $30.00 per hour. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.
