A leading home staging firm in Orange County is seeking a part time Lead Stager for their rapidly expanding team. The firm requires candidates to be dependable, full of energy, capable of multi-tasking, and flexible enough to undertake a wide range of duties. Candidates will need top grade design, project management, and communication skills. Furthermore, being confident speakers and being willing to travel throughout greater Orange County and neighboring cities or counties is crucial – all travel will be completed using the firm’s own vehicles. The Lead Stager’s responsibilities will include working with their staging team to set up and dismantle in Orange County. They will also assist the team with the full project lifecycle, from concept to completion.

The Lead Stager will help with the installation of stages; this will entail unloading trucks, arranging furniture, accessorizing rooms, making beds, steaming beds, cleaning on-site inventory, and hanging artwork. They will also help with the de-staging of homes, which includes packing away accessories, textiles and artwork, and checking that no items get left on the property. Other tasks could include helping to organize the warehouse, attending monthly team huddles and meetings and going along to team building events. This role will be physically demanding and fast paced.

Candidates must be aware that some days or projects will require long hours (6-8+ hours). The ideal Lead Stager will have previous residential home staging or interior design experience. They should be a self-starter, able to work both independently and as part of a team. They must be capable of leading a team of 2-4 people, be a skilled problem solver, and have the ability to quickly change direction when needed. Candidates must be equipped to design a range of spaces and carry out design-related tasks, including selecting accessories, bedding, and furniture pieces. They must have high attention for detail and organizational skills, and possess excellent communication abilities and a positive attitude.

The Lead Stager will also need to be able to lift up to 35 lbs at times, and have basic proficiency using small tools (hammer, tape measure, level, screwdriver, wrenches). The candidate must also be able to hang artwork. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required for this role, alongside the willingness to travel throughout Orange County in company-owned vehicles. The working schedule will range from 20-25 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:30pm Pacific Time, with weekends work as needed. Business references, portfolio work examples, and a clean driving record are required. This role comes with a probationary period. Real estate agents need not apply for this role. The job type is part-time and remuneration will be between $20.00 – $25.00 per hour. The job will be executed in-person.
