Slate Staging & Design is located in the Bay Area and provides home staging and design services for real estate agents and individual homeowners. They have a fast-paced, hands-on team that values their work, environments, and their clients.
They are looking for a motivated, reliable, and hardworking individual to join their team. The role they have open is for a Mover / Driver / Warehouse Associate. This person’s role will be essential in ensuring that the warehouse runs smoothly and will help with staging installations and removals.
The potential employee should be detail-oriented, physically capable, and okay with wearing many hats during the day. Having a strong work ethic and being willing to go above and beyond are important for succeeding in this role.
The main responsibilities include loading, unloading and transporting furniture and décor between the warehouse and the staging sites as well as driving a 20-ft box truck. An important note is that a clean driving record is required. This person will assist with staging installations and removals. This will involve careful packing, wrapping, and transport of items back to the warehouse.
This role includes maintaining the warehouse spaces . This includes general cleaning and organizing of common areas as well as the detailed cleaning and care of furniture, rugs, linens, and accessories. Tasks such as minor furniture repair and handyman tasks, cardboard/materials breakdown, on-site support for moving crews, and inventory tracking and preparation will also be required.
Preferably, the candidate should have previous experience in warehouse, moving, or a similar role and have experience driving a box truck. They must be able to lift and move heavy items, have strong organizational skills, be reliable, team-oriented, proactive, and communicate in English.
Necessary requirements are a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, personal means of transportation, personal cell phone, and being willing to travel locally throughout the Bay Area. The job is physically demanding and will require the ability to lift and carry heavy furniture.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday with potential work on weekends as needed. The work location is in person in Hayward, CA.
