The success of their installations rests on the shoulders of their crew, whose responsibilities include the careful and precise transportation, assembly, and placement of furniture. They’re currently looking to hire an On-Call Furniture Mover to augment their expanding team.
The role on offer is physically demanding and hands-on, making it ideal for someone with substantial moving experience, staging expertise, and the skill to confidently operate a 26’ box truck. The individual will collaborate with the creative team and other crew members to help actualize staging projects. The job also provides flexible, on-call work opportunities for proficient movers seeking part-time or extra jobs.
The successful individual will be expected to drive up to 26’ box trucks to and from staging sites. Other duties entail loading and unloading of furniture, décor, and art in a safe and efficient manner, wrapping and securing furniture with pads, shrink wrap, and tools, assembling and disassembling furniture on-site when necessary, organizing the warehouse, packing inventory, maintaining a clean working area including trucks and tools, and working swiftly and independently to meet tight deadlines.
The role requires the likes of driving a 26’ box truck. The individual needs to have a minimum of 2 years of experience in moving, delivery, or staging, strong furniture handling skills, the ability to repetitively lift over 50 lbs throughout the day, experience with power tools and basic furniture assembly, and must be professional, reliable, and detail-oriented. The individual has to be comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment, possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and have their own mode of transport. Flexibility with hours and availability for on-call shifts is also required.
