The company is on the lookout for a Sr. Director of Staging Design, a position that is seen as key in shaping the future of Vesta’s design operations as they move forward in the luxury design services market.
Filling this position is crucial as it requires oversight over a team of over 50 designers spread across key markets within the US.

The role’s main functionality revolves around advancing design and design processes of Vesta, marrying creativity with seamless operations.
The ideal candidate is expected to manage the company’s Creative Directors.
They are responsible for ensuring that Vesta maintains its innovative aesthetic congruent with the luxury market.

The job demands a balance of creative vision and operational know-how, developing processes that can scale with the organization, tracking performance metrics, running improvement initiatives, and enabling design teams to hit creative and operational targets consistently.
The person will also encourage a culture of excellence, pushing for enhanced artistic and functional design aspects while keeping efficiency and quality in mind.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and managing four Creative Directors and their respective teams.
Providing mentorship and collaboratively working with them to make sure operational goals are attained.

Driving the creation, execution and amelioration of design processes to boost productivity and quality.
Establishing clear efficiency metrics and working with Creative Directors to ensure that the benchmarks are consistently hit or exceeded.

Ensuring that Vesta’s design standards and brand guidelines are adhered to across all markets, while giving room for regional creativity.
Creating standardized processes to secure the consistent and efficient completion of design projects.

Devising key performance indicators to gauge the effectiveness of design teams, tracking KPIs and providing feedback and coaching to Creative Directors to help refine performance abilities.

Working with senior leadership, C-Suite executives, and other departments to align company-wide initiatives.
This will include collaborating with procurement to guarantee that inventory is available to meet all project demands.

The key objectives are to:

Define and shape Vesta’s creative vision to maintain its strong presence in the luxury design space.

Implement best practices in all markets, assuring design teams operate with high efficiency and a consistent output quality.

Establish and monitor efficiency metrics across regional teams.

Develop a system for regular feedback and performance management to foster Vesta’s values and culture among the design teams.

Create scalable design operations by standardizing workflows and identifying areas for operational improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in interior design, luxury home staging and/or architecture with a focus on managing design teams.
They must have shown capacity to optimize design processes, reduce cost while improving overall quality of outputs.
Ability to manage, mentor and motivate creatives for optimal performance is also important.
Experience implementing and tracking designer efficiency metrics and KPIs is required.
Additional preferred skills include luxury home staging experience, large-scale project management, ability to run process improvements in a fast-paced company, experience managing remote teams, and proficiency with design software tools like CAD, Illustrator, Sketchup etc.
