XO Staging, a professional home staging company operating in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, is seeking a part-time Home Staging Assistant. They specialize in readying homes for sale using crisp, market-oriented designs to help sellers attain maximal value.

The role up for grabs is for a dependable, detail-obsessed individual who finds satisfaction in decorating, styling spaces, and thriving in a fast-paced work setting. This position demands a balance of creativity, organization, and physical activity.

The responsibilities of the Home Staging Assistant incorporate aiding the principal stager with furniture arrangement and room blueprint. They will style beds, sofas, consoles, and shelves, as well as coordinate décor and accessories for a cohesive aesthetic. Tasks include properly stuffing and shaping throw pillows, making beds to a perfected, photo-ready standard, and improvising styling details during install as required.

On-site preparation duties involve steaming bed skirts, bedding, and towels. They need to ensure all visible surfaces are pristine and shiny, which includes cleaning mirrors, counters, fixtures, and other surfaces pre-photography. They will execute home previews, which include taking measurements, photos, and detailed notes, and they should be proficient in communicating clearly with the lead stager.

Purchasing and support tasks consist of acquiring décor items and supplies as instructed, picking up materials, and replenishing must-haves. They will be responsible for maintaining an organized inventory, managing accessory preparations at the warehouse for installs. When necessary, they will also assist with light loading/unloading.

The desired candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and visual balance. Previous experience in staging, design, retail merchandising, or visual display is a plus. They should be capable of lifting objects up to 40 lbs, and must exhibit professionalism and respect within clients’ homes. They need to have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. They are seeking someone punctual and trustworthy.

This role operates typically from 9:00am – 3:00pm. The schedule varies based on projects and the successful candidate must be available on staging days and comply with California meal and rest break requirements.

The ideal person for this position pays attention to fine details, can spot when something feels slightly “off” and has an instinct to fix it. They should be efficient without compromising quality and must take pride in a tidy, polished presentation. The role suits someone who enjoys teamwork and clear direction.
