Their Staging Designers play an integral part in home staging projects. The role calls for those with a keen eye for design and an ability to promptly deliver on-site. Envisage a day on duty – it will involve choosing inventory and decor, setting up homes as per Ascend standards, doing a bit of styling and then taking final walkthrough photos, and repacking the inventory for the next assignment.
Staging Designers at Ascend also take up responsibilities such as staging homes as per Ascend’s standards, safely and efficiently handling decor, guiding the logistics team on furniture placement, keeping track of inventory, facilitating clear team communication, and presenting a professional image in client-facing scenarios.
Candidates are required to have reliable attendance, be able to handle furniture movement (as it’s a physical role), a valid driver’s license, and an adaptable work routine that may need early mornings or late evenings. Having a knack for design and styling will be a plus.
It will be beneficial if candidates have prior experience in home staging, background in interior design, merchandising or hospitality, or if they have handled inventory in a warehouse setup.
Most staging activities are scheduled on weekdays with early start times. Contractors are expected to have a flexible schedule based on project requirements. Also, occasional weekend work could come up.
The starting pay at Ascend is $25 an hour with the possibility of more hours and responsibilities based on performance and reliability.
