The Staging Company is recruiting for the position of Stager in Training at their Orlando branch. They require someone who can think critically and has a keen eye for design. This person will be on a fast track to a professional staging and design leadership role.
The Staging Company specializes in transforming houses into desirable properties using their exclusive Home Story MethodTM. They aim to make homes sell faster, with fewer complications and for higher sums. They pride themselves on their core values of love, trust, and excellence. They also offer a two-year career pipeline that ensures progression from entry-level stages to advanced positions such as Design Coordinator or Independent Designer.
The Stager in Training will support daily staging activities. They will be taught the company’s Home Story MethodTM and will become familiar with project flow. They will also be responsible for choosing and loading furniture from the warehouse according to the design plan and according to the profile of the prospective homebuyer.
In addition, travel is involved with the role as the Stager in Training accompanies the team to install 1-3 stages per day. During these trips, they may have to resolve issues with layout, inventory, and schedule in real-time. They will also need to capture before and after photographs of the stages, which will contribute to their portfolio and the company’s marketing needs.
To apply for the role, the successful candidate will require strong design skills shown by a related degree, coursework, or portfolio. Proof of problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities through previous work or projects is essential. A team player that is reliable and maintains professionalism and positivity is sought after. Physical capability to move furniture and home decor, and a valid driver’s license along with reliable transportation to the warehouse are also necessary.
Preferred qualifications include experience or exposure to home staging, interior decorating, or real estate. Familiarity with design tools such as CAD/Revit, Photoshop and/or photography for portfolio creation, as well as being comfortable in fast-paced, varying environments is desirable.
The role of Stager in Training is full time, Monday to Friday, typically commencing at 8:00 a.m until the day’s tasks are complete. The pay rate for this position in the first 90 days is hourly at the entry staging rate. Following this, pay increases as progression is made through Stager Levels 1 and 2, which is based on skill mastery and independence.
