Stage & Amaze, a prominent home staging and design company in Southwest Florida, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staging Assistant. The candidate will be working in a fast-paced, creative, and highly collaborative environment. Their role will be integral in assisting the staging team with installations, design prep, and day-to-day operations.

This is an entry-level position, perfect for individuals with a passion for decorating and design. The candidate will engage in physical and creative work, making it an excellent opportunity for those aspiring to establish a career in staging and interiors.

Initially, the role will be part-time but will transition to a full-time position quickly given the industry’s dynamic and growing nature. The chosen candidate can look forward to growth opportunities into design, staging coordination, or leadership positions with training and experience.

Key tasks will include selecting, packing, and preparing numerous decorative items for staging. The candidate will be responsible for completing staging checklists per project requirements. They will also play a key role in communicating with the design team regarding each home’s design plan and entering new staging inventory into the system.

Additionally, they will be responsible for monitoring staging inventory levels, shopping for staging inventory as needed, assisting with loading and unloading trucks on staging days, and assisting with staging installations. The assistant will also aid with de-staging – packing and removals of staged properties, and maintaining organization in the warehouse.

Candidates should have one year of experience in interior decorating, visual merchandising, or a similar role. Key skills include strong attention to detail, a sense of style/design, reliability and punctuality, and strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with clients. They should also be comfortable using basic tools and equipment and possess basic computer/smartphone skills for task management apps.

Physically, candidates should be capable of lifting, carrying, and moving up to 50 lbs., and comfortable with physical work, including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods. They should also be willing to work in a variety of home environments and weather conditions.

Working with Stage & Amaze, the candidate will receive hands-on training in home staging and design. No weekend shifts are required. The company offers benefits such as comprehensive training, growth opportunities, 2 weeks of paid vacation per year (for full-time employees), 5 sick days, and 6 holidays. Further benefits include an HSA account and a simple IRA. Starting pay is from $19.00 per hour.
