They are seeking a Home Staging & Design Assistant to work from Tuesday to Friday, 9am-5pm though working hours may vary based on the schedule.

The prospective assistant will be responsible for preparing for stagings. This includes moving selected furniture to the front of the warehouse for loading, prepping decor elements like pillows and art according to the style of the home, and facilitating the organization and loading of the trailer under the guidance of a team leader.

The role also involves staging properties, which includes preparing fully for the staging before the designated day. On reaching the property, the assistant will need to unload the inventory from the trailer to the home, position furniture in the assigned rooms, and perform tasks such as unrolling rugs, setting up bed frames, inflating mattresses, hanging art, and situating decor.

Destaging properties is another part of the job. This will involve prepping the trailer with necessary materials before leaving the warehouse, moving inventory from the home to the trailer once at the site, assisting in loading the trailer securely to prevent damage in transit, and helping return the items to their specific spots at the warehouse.

The assistant will also be involved in finalizing short-term rental design jobs. Consistent with printed design boards, they will need to set up rooms, place decor, hang art, handle some light staging for photoshoots, and ensure completion of both interior and outdoor areas.

There will be some warehouse organization and basic office upkeep tasks as well. Areas that require organization need to be addressed, inventory items should be put in their assigned places, and the office should be kept clean and stocked with necessary supplies. The assistant might also have to assemble new furniture brought for staging inventory.

There may be instances where package acceptance will be required. The assistant should be available to accept scheduled deliveries at the warehouse or client’s homes.

Additional requirements for the role include having a personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license. The applicant should be capable of lifting approximately 50 pounds, comfortable with varying weather conditions, and prepared for physically taxing tasks. Experience in home staging or interior retail is also a prerequisite.

Applicants are requested to submit a resume, a brief personal introduction and their interest in the position, and any images of spaces they have styled or created. This need not necessarily be professional photographs.

Though not an official interior design role, the job is a good starting point for anyone looking to gain experience in the design world. This role pays at a rate of $18.00 per hour and takes place in person at the work location.
