The job involves physical labor which at times could be under severe Florida weather conditions. Ideal candidates should be comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 100lbs, and climbing stairs. The work also includes loading and unloading of furniture and staging materials, wrapping and protecting furniture, furniture placement and assembly, organizing the warehouse, and driving between locations. The candidate must also communicate effectively with the team. Strong written communication skills and previous customer service experience would be beneficial.
The company’s ideal candidate should have a clean driving record, a valid driver’s license, and a commendable work ethic. Prior experience with a staging or furniture company is preferable. The role starts with around 20 hours per week, distributed typically over three 7-hour days. The working hours might occasionally vary based on project needs, with a potential for more hours. This is a part-time, contract-based position with pay ranging from $17.00 – $23.00 per hour. The ability to drive a 26 ft box truck is a requirement, as is comfort being based in Clearwater, Florida. The person selected for this role will need to show commitment to a day shift schedule. They will need to have their Driver’s license, and they will perform their work in person.
