The company is looking for a Junior Warehouse Associate. This person will play an important role in supporting the company’s staging and design operations, which are based in an interior design and home staging company. Their responsibilities would include pulling, preparing, and restocking inventory whilst ensuring the warehouse is organized and efficient. The company requires a candidate who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable undertaking physical work and independent tasks. Salary expectations for this role are between $15 and $19 per hour, according to individual expertise and experience level.
Their key responsibilities would encompass pulling and preparing furniture, art, and accessories for staging installations. They would need to make sure all inventory is free of any damage, is clean, and loaded efficiently. They are also responsible for packing items that will be de-staged at the property, unloading returned items, inspecting these for any damage, and restocking them in their proper locations.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse space is also a prime responsibility for this role. The person will have to assist with routine quality control inspections of the inventory, report and document any damaged or missing items immediately, conduct light repairs on damaged inventory when suitable and use inventory software or tablets to track item movement and availability.
They would also be required to liaise with designers and stylists to ensure accurate item fulfillment for each project. And they would need to load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient way.
The ideal candidate would be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a keen attention to detail. They should be reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently with minimum supervision. A preference will be given to those who enjoy consistent, task-oriented work in a warehouse setting.
Physical capability to lift, move, and stage furniture safely (up to a certain weight limit) is a necessity. The candidate should be organized and dedicated to maintaining clean, efficient workspaces. Basic experience in warehouse operations or inventory management would be advantageous.
Experience of working for a moving company is strongly preferred. The candidate should also be comfortable using mobile devices or tablets for tracking inventory and would need to have a valid Driver’s License.
