The position entails a Sales Consultant for Luxury Interior Design & Home Staging. This lively client-centric role will emphasize creating relational bonds, closing deals, and intensifying the client experience. With the design team, they will manage consultations, a stream of luxury opportunities, and ensure every project executed flawlessly.
The role is a blend of consultative selling, strategic follow-ups, and a profound understanding of luxury environments. The candidate will come in as a reliable advisor, carrying clients’ visions to life — from the first stages of inquiry to the final implementation.
In sales and client relations, the consultant will build and oversee a rolling pipeline of at least $300,000 in high-end staging and design opportunities. They will conduct consultations both virtually and in-person with real estate agents, developers, and homeowners. They will prepare tailored proposals in line with client goals, budgets, and timelines. Their objective is to achieve or exceed a 30-45% closing rate through thoughtful communication, follow-ups, and relationship cultivation. This role also involves keeping active communication and clear next steps throughout the sales journey.
In terms of strategic growth and business development, the consultant will build lasting relationships with high-producing agents, brokers, and developers. They will attend industry events to increase brand awareness and referrals, leverage client satisfaction for repeat business and organic referrals, and even contribute ideas for targeting new segments or broadening service offerings.
In terms of collaboration and project alignment, they will work closely with the design team to ensure smooth handoff and alignment on project scope, communicate client’s preferences, deadlines, and priorities for successful execution, and support marketing initiatives whenever required.
The consultant will keep accurate records of sales activity, pipeline progress, and conversion metrics in a CRM, provide weekly reports on pipeline health, revenue contribution, and closing trends, and track referral performance, repeat business, and lead source success.
The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales in high-end luxury interiors, staging, real estate, or related fields. The candidate should have a robust understanding of high-end residential design, luxury furnishings, and expectations of discerning high net worth clients, possess exceptional presentation and consultative selling skills, be proficient in CRM software and sales tracking tools, organised, resourceful, and comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. They should also be self-motivated, collaborative and available for in-person consultations and local site visits.
Additional preferred qualifications include an existing network of real estate professionals, developers or luxury homeowners, a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Business, Marketing, or a related field, familiarity with staging best practices and luxury market dynamics in South Florida, and possesses natural salesmanship abilities.
