The role they are hiring for is a Showroom Staging Associate. The main responsibilities of this role involve supporting the Visual Merchandising team by assisting with product merchandising and maintaining the overall appearance of the showroom. This will involve working closely with Visual Merchandising Coordinators to implement product layout changes and create visual displays according to directives.

Daily maintenance of the showroom’s exterior and warehouse is also part of the job, as is assisting with receiving weekly showroom deliveries, opening and tagging home accents, and inspecting showroom products for safety and physical condition. The role also involves managing showroom lighting and includes physical labour, such as heavy lifting and moving furniture.

The Showroom Staging Associate reports to the Regional Visual Merchandising Supervisor, Manager, or Senior Manager. The position will be located at CITY/Ashley Stuart, Vero Beach, and is part of the Merchandising/Visual department. The pay rate ranges from $17-19.

The role requires autonomous work and flexibility with change, a sense of urgency, understanding of inventory and logistics, expertise in product placement and space planning, basic hand tool knowledge, minor electrical knowledge, and furniture building skills.

Educational requirements include a high school diploma and an understanding and previous use of basic hand tools for building and maintaining furniture. A basic understanding of lighting wiring is also required. Previous operations experience within a retail environment is preferred.

The Showroom Staging Associate will work Monday through Friday 9:30am-6:30pm, with limited night and weekend hours. The position is full time, with travel required to all showrooms in the region as well as participation in Showroom Remerchandising projects and New Store Openings. Physical requirements include the ability to lift items up to 75 lbs., and the ability to climb a 12-16 foot ladder.

Technological requirements include knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, Google Suite, a basic understanding of how to use an Apple iPad, general PC knowledge, and knowledge about RFID Inventory Zebra Tagging Equipment. A valid Florida Driver’s License is also required.
