There is a job opportunity for a dependable, hands-on installer/driver who seeks to join a logistics crew. The perfect candidate would be someone who likes doing work that involves physical activity, who respects doing things accurately, and who can keep up in a hasty, team-oriented atmosphere.
The main aspect of the job would involve driving a box truck, being in charge of loading and unloading, securing and safeguarding the staging inventory. The position also includes offering assistance during staging and de-staging days, putting together furniture, and helping to keep the warehouse organized. The one in the position will work in close proximity with the staging team to guarantee that every installation is done effectively, safely, and professionally.
Responsibilities of this job will include the safe operation of a 26’ box truck for deliveries, installs, and pickups. They’ll be loading and unloading furniture and staging props, using the proper padding, wrapping, and strapping to prevent any damages. You would need to assist with the staging installs and de-stages in client homes, with professional behavior being crucial. Furniture assembly tasks, which include assembling beds, tables, and basic staging pieces will be required. You’d also have to support warehouse organization which includes restocking, staging prep, maintaining clean zones and aisles. Usage of a 12′ ladder to safely restock and organize inventory would be needed. It’s important to ensure that moving tools, blankets, straps, dolly’s etc are loaded into the trucks on a daily basis. Clear communication with the team must be maintained to ensure the schedule is followed and problems are calmly solved on-site.
The opportunities offered are both full-time and part-time, paying $25.00 – $27.00 per hour with weekly hours ranging between 30 to 45. Participating in the 401(k) and dental, health and vision insurance programs is included in the benefits package. Time off and training are also paid.
A minimum of one year experience in moving is preferred. English language proficiency and a non-CDL Class C and driver’s license are required. The work location is in person and the ability to commute to Naperville, IL 60564 is preferred.
