A rapidly expanding home staging company located in Laurel, Maryland, is seeking a talented and creative Home Stager. They serve real estate agents, homeowners, and investors across Maryland, DC, and some regions of Northern Virginia and focus on real estate and commercial spaces, presenting a golden opportunity for sizeable sales and additional income.
The job entails joining an energetic team, where the ideal candidate will have ample experience in dealing with homeowners, both in occupied and vacant listing scenarios. The responsibilities of the role include the creation of solid staging design plans, where the right candidate will choose suitable color schemes, furniture, art, and accessory vignettes that highlight the space while upholding the company’s brand standards. The candidate will participate in preparations and the safe transport of selections, conduct written reviews, walk and talk to understand the property needs, and manage the destaging process, which includes documenting damages or broken items on the proper forms.
The candidate will provide support with photography, videos, and content creation for the company’s social media and will execute de-stage pack-ups, attend property walkthroughs to collect data on measurements, layout specs, and design requirements, and keep the warehouse decor shelves restocked. As and when requested, the candidate will design new packages and assist with decor shopping in person.
The list of qualifications include: relevant work experience in home staging or a field like visual merchandising, interior design; being highly organized and capable of maintaining an orderly work setting; possessing creativity and a basic knowledge of design/aesthetic principles; being a fast learner, and having a professional, positive attitude; being adaptable to shifting schedules and tasks; working well independently and as part of a team; having a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, personal transportation, and a smartphone; being capable of lifting up to 40 lbs unaided and higher weights with assistance; being able to stay on one’s feet for extended periods, and climb stairs while carrying items; and a keen desire to learn new skills, grow, and contribute to the success of the company.
The job offers an hourly rate and the potential for commission. Pay is expected to be between $16.00 and $20.00 per hour. The job has a day shift schedule and doesn’t require night or weekend work. The candidate must relocate to Laurel before starting work. The work requires in-person attendance.
