The job primarily involves moving furniture with a small element of interior design (training provided). The staff would need to pack furniture intended for home staging and load it into a van in an orderly manner. Thereafter, they will transport the furniture safely to a designated house, situated up to 50 miles away, and arrange the furniture according to provided pictures. The job requires measurable decoration and understanding of a comfortable living atmosphere arrangement. The furniture is comparatively light as it is fabricated specifically for home staging purpose.
Certain skills are required – the candidate’s ability to lift 50 pounds and move lightweight furniture up stairs. The candidate should have the ability to co-ordinate with a partner in arranging furniture in a house and be competent in driving a cargo van. Extra pay is provided for the ability to drive a box truck.
Specific tasks include home staging, packing and arranging, loading fragile ornaments for transport, using pictures for decoration based on Realstaged guidelines, hanging pictures and mirrors, and performing minor furniture repair if required by the stylist.
The candidate should be able to communicate effectively with team members to quickly arrange a house and report to the leadership about damaged inventory and any issues with said house. Driving tasks involved are driving up to 50 miles in a van, managing parallel parking in city environments and safe city driving.
The start date of the job is open and the position is that of a W2 Seasonal Employee, requiring 32 plus hours of work on all months except November, December and January, when the hours may decrease. An hourly rate of $18-20 is offered, depending on experience and ability to drive a 16ft or 22ft Box Truck. Employment is available on all days and most weekdays are expected for work.
Potential candidates preferably should have some job experience, the ability to drive at least a Cargo Van, with extra pay given for Box Truck driving ability, and should have no felony convictions.
