The Moyer Move Management and Moyer Staging + Design sales team is in need of a Staging + Design Associate. The associate will aid with staging, de-staging, crafting floor plans, and design. The ideal candidate would be an energetic professional who’s adaptable to the changing needs of a small but expanding business. It’s also essential that they have experience using a variety of software packages, or at least the ability to learn new design tools rapidly.
The role includes various responsibilities like learning or reviewing how to use the design software adopted by Moyer. They should convert paper or digital designs of client floor plans into a usable basis for design. They need to transform furniture measurements into digital depictions, create space plans when requested, and go on location to measure the unit for a master template when approved.
Their responsibilities also involve creating “output” for sales representatives to action or for client review, and modify iterations based on the feedback received. They need to work with the design team to execute staging plans for residential units, select and arrange furniture and accessories to create a pleasing atmosphere.
Assisting with staging setups and break downs, managing inventory, and ensuring all items are cared for is part of the job as well. They’ll be required to work with clients and the team to meet deadlines whilst staying up to date on design trends for application to projects.
The requirements for this role are a high school diploma or equivalent, certificates in staging or interior decorating are preferred but not obligatory. The candidate should have proven experience in home staging, interior decorating, or a similar role. They should have knowledge about design principles, furniture arrangement, and color coordination.
Other needs include the ability to lift and move staging materials, a valid driver’s license for travel to and from staging locations, and knowledge of Microsoft Office utilities. Applicants should have excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills. Active computer skills and familiarity with Office packages are required.
The candidate must own and be able to operate a “smart” cellular phone that can handle Microsoft Office 365 suite of services, including email as the company heavily relies on technology for the distribution, storage, and management of operations.
