Envision Redesign, a rapidly expanding home staging and design company in the Greater Boston area, is looking to recruit a Lead Mover for their home staging team. Their role involves transforming client’s properties into model homes by adorning them with furniture, accessories, and artwork, ensuring a quick sale at a good price. This often means taking properties from an unfurnished state to a fully decorated home within a few hours.

The Lead Mover’s duty involves working with a team to safely pack, load, drive, and unload staging furnishings from the warehouse to the client’s property in the Greater Boston area. The job includes various tasks like packing and unpacking staging props, arranging items around client’s properties, and working alongside the lead mover. Upon completion of a project, they are expected to independently pack and move the staging props out of client properties and restock the warehouse.

Moreover, the role might include driving the company’s 20′ or 26′ box truck within Boston city and its suburbs. The successful candidate will also assist in maintaining a tidy and organized warehouse, unpack and assemble new furniture/ inventory, and occasionally carry out minor furniture repairs.

The job presents a reliable 30-40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, typically between 8am-5pm. No evening or weekend work is required, but full weekdays are necessary. The candidate must have their own dependable transport to commute to and from the warehouse located in Wilmington, MA. Applicants must be 21 years old or more and have a clean driving record for insurance purposes, and a clean criminal background.

Ideal candidates should be self-reliant, working competently with minimal supervision. They should possess a friendly, polite personality, and a positive attitude, alongside strong customer service skills, a firm command of the English language, and well-developed organizational skills, ensuring efficient moves. They should be dependable and punctual. Physical ability to carry furniture, bins of accessories, artwork, soft good bags, potentially weighing up to 100lbs for up to 8 hours a day, is also required. Previous experience as a mover, proper furniture protection, safely loading a truck, and performing moves on busy city streets, is preferred. Work eligibility in the U.S. and strong command of English language is a must.

In terms of benefits, Envision Redesign offers an hourly rate between $23-28, depending on experience, along with 10 days of paid vacation, paid holidays, and 5 paid sick days. The company guarantees a stable schedule throughout the year – always at least 30 hours but most of the time close to 40 hours – with no night or weekend jobs. Successful candidates will be part of a young, fun, and successful team where every member plays a vital part in the business’s success.
