The primary responsibilities comprise conducting walk-and-talk style staging consultations with homeowners at various locations. The candidate must be willing to use their personal vehicle for traveling, potentially covering 50+ miles round trip per job. Acquiring knowledge of the company’s consultation process is required to ensure each appointment is professionally, efficiently, and thoroughly executed according to the company’s brand and guidelines. They must understand the basic principles of staging like depersonalization, decluttering, balance, traffic flow, paint color, lighting, style updates, among others. Collaborating with a freelance graphic designer to develop Selling Success Plans after each consultation is also part of the job.
The suitable candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in home staging or a related field, possess exceptional design skills and be updated with the latest home decor trends. They need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and should be capable of working both individually and as a part of the team. Detail-orientation and maintaining a high degree of accuracy is crucial, along with the flexibility to accommodate last-minute scheduling needs.
Key competencies sought include effective communication; the ability to articulate staging needs to clients clearly, attention to detail, time management, adaptability, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey staging needs and recommendations to sellers and the staging team.
The Staging Consultant reports to the Owner/Operator. The position is part-time on a need basis and does not guarantee any set number of working hours. The pay range falls between $20.00 – $50.00 per hour. The expected working hours range from 1.0 – 12.0 per week, and the work location is a hybrid remote in Burnsville, MN 55337.
