Utopia Home Staging is seeking a part-time Home Stager / Visual Merchandiser, with potential for full-time employment. They are a Las Vegas-based company that specializes in high-end occupied and vacant staging, crafting market-ready spaces for quick and lucrative sales. They desire a candidate that can add to the dynamic energy of their creative team. This role is hands-on, brisk, and fulfills the deep need to create. They stress that this is not an interior decorating job – their aim is staging appealing, saleable spaces.
As part of the role you will stage homes using fitting furniture, rugs, artwork, and accessory placement. Expect to steam and make beds, prep soft goods, and make sure everything is ready for photograph. Your duties will include hanging artwork and mirrors to scale, assisting with installation and de-stages which includes moving heavy furniture. Warehouse inventory management is also required as is carrying out light repairs and cleaning to keep the pieces in top condition. The need to work closely with teammates and work effectively on installation days is paramount. There will be also be an expectation to capture content for social media.
The ideal candidate will have experience in visual merchandising, retail display, set dressing or home staging. Alternatively, if you have a sharp design eye and are eager to learn about the art of staging, this role could be for you. Utopia is seeking someone with a strong sense of scale, balance, and composition with excellent time-keeping skills. A candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can lift heavy pieces and is willing to abide by Utopia’s systems, safety practices, and brand standards would be fit for this role. You must also have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
The job is located in Las Vegas, NV and the hours vary between 15-40 per week. The work may be project-based and working day hours range from 8-6. The ability to flexible with your time is extremely important as is the occasional ability to work on rare Saturdays. During the summer months there may be potential for earlier starts due to the heat. The role offers a salary ranging between $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience and skill set. Before onboarding, candidates will be asked to participate in a 2-3 day mock trial interview at the rate of $18 per hour. Should they be successful, there will then be a two-week on-the-job trial period.
