Utopia Home Staging is a high-end luxury staging company seeking a Lead Home Stager with an interior design background. They offer an hourly pay range of $23-$28, factoring in experience. Although initially part-time, there is scope for more hours, given certain months may be busier.
The primary responsibility of the Lead Home stager is to oversee projects, collaborate with staging assistants & movers and ensure a high-quality aesthetic. They must have an interior design degree or a relevant equivalent, and must showcase their prior work in staging or interior design through a portfolio, Instagram handle or a link.
It is mandatory to lead and execute staging projects which includes conducting property walkthroughs, direct and supervise staging assistants and movers, and ensure projects are completed without supervision in the assigned time. They are also responsible for creating and ensuring adherence to brand-specific aesthetics.
The stager will also have to select furniture and decor suited to each project, oversee inventory logistics, and ensure items are in pristine condition. They will have to maintain orderliness in the warehouse and staging vehicles.
Keeping positive relations with clients, representing the brand, and identifying potential clients and staging opportunities are crucial. Managing administrative duties like training and mentoring assistants, working with the leadership team to enhance efficiency, and ensuring all projects progress as scheduled is expected.
The applicant must be experienced in Interior Design & Staging, a strong visual communicator, a natural leader, detail-oriented and organized. They should be physically capable to lift furniture and differentiate between home staging, decorating, and interior design.
Not having a degree or relevant work experience, absence of a portfolio or past work examples, lack of confidence in styling and staging, and preference for solo work disqualifies candidacy for this post.
Formal qualifications needed include a degree in Interior Design or a related field, 3+ years of professional experience in Home Staging, proficiency in luxury home styling and design trends, ability to work on-site at staging locations & in the warehouse, excellent time management, problem-solving and leadership skills, and possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
